Strategic Sales Manager (Surgical)

JOB SUMMARY:                                         
This position exists to assure that NDSsi remains the market leader in the sales of medical displays and informatics products. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for growing sales in existing OEM and reseller accounts, and for identifying and creating new business partnerships with OEM and reseller accounts currently not doing business with NDSsi. Strategic Account Managers are required to sell all new products introduced by NDSsi and sell into new markets when defined by the company.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales plan
  • Create and implement a strategic account development plan for each assigned account
  • Identify sales opportunities in new strategic OEM and reseller accounts.  Create and implement a strategic account development plan for each new account
  • Develop new and maintain existing working relationships with key decision makers and buying influencers in all accounts
  • Train OEMs and resellers on how to effectively position NDSsi products and increase sales
  • Support OEM’s and reseller in sales situations, where applicable
  • Present and sell new NDSsi technologies to current and potential customers
  • Qualify customer requests for demo equipment, present demo units to customer, ensure that evaluations are completed in a timely fashion and units returned and/or purchased by customer
  • Become the subject matter expert in NDSsi products and effectively present the value of the products to all customers
  • Prepare quotes and proposals, subject to the guidelines of the company
  • Work effectively with NDSsi product management and engineering resources to develop custom products for OEM accounts
  • Develop metrics that can be used to evaluate NDSsi’ performance within each account
  • Coordinate information globally with NDSsi representatives as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate customer contact information, sales forecasting and opportunity tracking in Sales Force.com 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  1. BS degree required
  2. Minimum of 10 year of sales and/or key account management experience, preferably in healthcare, medical equipment and/or video technology
  3. Experienced at selling to executive level managers

 

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in advanced selling and strategic account management skills
  • Experience selling in business to business environments
  • Experienced in and understand of the surgical electronics market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in PC applications such as Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Travel 50% or more as required by the needs of the business.
